Seiko Watch Corp. Leading the Way Since 1881
From the moment in the 1880’s that Kintaro Hattori decided to build Japan’s first watch, SEIKO has been dedicated to perfection in timekeeping.
In the 1950’s and 1960’s, the challenge of building the world’s first quartz watch was the ultimate challenge to the SEIKO vision. A quartz watch is a watch that uses the piezoelectric effect of crystals to keep time. When an electric current is passed across a quartz crystal, it vibrates in a regular way at lightning speed. The accurate tick of a quartz watch is generated by this piezoelectric effect. -Seiko

Obaku is a Danish watch brand dedicated to creating beautiful designer products with luxury details at affordable prices.
The inspiration behind every Obaku watch comes from the classic Danish design tradition combined with Zen philosophy that focuses on the essential things in life. Obaku takes its name from a branch of this ancient Asian philosophy. Combined, these two lines of thought create simple, clean designs that will look as beautiful ten years from now as they do today. Every Obaku watch is inscribed on the case back with the name of the designer who created it.
